The Pivoting Roof Windows are made of treated pinewood and pre-coated with clear acrylic lacquer. From the outside they are protected by maintenance free external aluminium cappings in “grey” colour.

Ventilate

Centre-Pivot Roof Window GGL
This is the original VELUX Roof Window designed 70 years ago. This type of Skylight is not recommended for out of reach applications.
Product features:
- A short pull on the top control bar allows filtered background ventilation even while the window remains shut.
- A second pull on the control bar allows the window to rotate for maximum ventilation – and up to 180° for cleaning the outer pane from inside the room.
- Quality lacquered pine sash & frame.
- Complete with outer aluminium cappings and flashings for corrugated iron or tile roofs.
- Available in 4 sizes.
- High Performance double glazing as standard.
- Insect screen available as extra.
- * For roofs below 15° pitch, skylights need to be raised to 15° and custom flashed. VELUX can assist with technical advice and drawings. (NB: build-up not recommended in Bushfire areas.)
- † U-value (W/m²K) and SHGC calculated according to EN 14351-1:2006 + A1:2010 (window size 1140mm x 1400mm).
- ^ Bushfire testing applicable to GGL in roof pitch 18°-75° and GPL in roof pitch 18°-55°. Roof window only. Custom-made flashing required. Additional mesh protection may be required for opening apertures (consult local council).

Dual Action Roof Window GPL
Developed for use in attics with shallower pitched roofs to maximise roof top views. Suitable for within reach only applications.
Product features:
- Opens in two ways: the bottom handle allows for top-hung opening; while a short pull on the top control bar operates the filtered vent flap for background ventilation even while the window is shut. A longer pull allows the sash to rotate 180° for ease of cleaning the outer pane from inside the room.
- Quality lacquered pine sash & frame.
- Complete with outer aluminium cappings and flashings for corrugated iron or tile roofs.
- Available in 4 sizes.
